Our history
Beginnings: opportunities, network, and courage
Imballi was founded by Livio Ballan, who quickly rose from being a programmer in a carton company to becoming its manager.
He was passionate about the raw materials that came from nature, the artisanal working environment, and the artistic ability to transform paper into promotional materials.
However, in 1984, a strategic revolution within the company led to a customer selection process, leaving many medium-sized and small customers without a trusted carton supplier.
Relying on the friendship, experience, and passion of Livio Ballan, they encouraged him to open a new company: INBALLI.
It was the acronym for INdustria BALlan LIvio. We admit that this first name had a short life because many believed there was a spelling mistake – in Italian, we always use the letter M between I and B, not N! Therefore, the current name was adopted: IMBALLI.

Today, Imballi is one of the most solid and recognized joint-stock companies in the industry, constantly seeking efficient technologies and new skills.
The core values remain essential: familiarity, responsiveness, flexibility, and the ability to say, “Everything is possible.”
Each collaborator is part of the Imballi community, with a strong sense of belonging and the exchange of mutual know-how.
Concrete proof of this is our brand-new 38,000-square-meter facility in Castelfranco Veneto, located in the heart of the Veneto region and a crossroads between East and West Europe. It is characterized by ongoing technological investments, 1,000 kW of solar panels on the roof, and the imminent arrival of an automated warehouse.
